DOMINO’S: THE OFFICIAL FOOD OF YOUR HAPPY PLACE

On New Year’s Day 2019, we helped a hungover Britain escape its alcohol-induced funk with The Domino's Happy Place. A pixelated paradise on your smartphone.

We partnered with Snapchat to create an immersive and idyllic island where people could take their first steps along the beach of recovery. And in the process created a series of world-firsts (more on that later).

The 24-hour World Lens was initiated in ‘selfie mode’, where a filter removed any signs of the night before (instant Hollywood complexion) and gave you a pair of sunnies to cover those bloodshot eyes. Oh, and there was a talking parrot...

When you flipped the camera you were transported to the Happy Place. Here, you'd find a radio playing chilled out music (with three separate radio stations - a world-first) and could have a soothing chat with that sympathetic-but-still-rather-sarcastic parrot (another world-first).

Finally, the time on the island reflected the time you visited it (yet another world-first). Arrive at night and you'd be greeted by a glorious sunset/sunrise, turn up during the day and the sun would be at its brightest.
